The Division I college baseball season begins on Feb. 14, which is right around the time pitchers and catchers report for Spring Training for the 2025 Major League Baseball season.
The synergy is alive. Every team in the MLB, no matter how dire their situation may seem, has hopes that 2025 will be the year they win the division, make the playoffs and have a deep run. But also, Spring Training is the time for fans to get excited about the future as top prospects are invited to camps and others return from the offseason and turn heads in minor league camp.

- 2025 MLB Draft Prospect Rankings: Top 100 Composite List
At the college level, players who are draft eligible, and even those who aren't, begin the 2025 season with hopes of creating or adding to their draft resume. Some will eye seasons like Paul Skenes and Charlie Condon had recently, where they went from top-10 projected picks to being in discussion at No. 1.
The 2025 MLB Draft Class is loaded with high-level prep prospects. The 2023 and 2024 classes were dominated by college players, but that's not exactly the case in 2025. The slate of prospects opens the door for an NIL conversation to be had after the draft and perhaps we'll see more players opt to go to college instead of the minors.
Which would be great for the college game and not destructive for the MLB game, so everyone wins.
Here are the top 100 players on the FloBaseball Composite rankings entering 2025.
