The Oakland Ballers' historic inaugural home series in the Pioneer League brought sell-out crowds to Raimondi Park, and a series win over the Yolo High Wheelers.

The B's seek to keep their good vibes going at the expense of the Rocky Mountain Vibes. Rocky Mountain visits Oakland for a series beginning on June 11, the second set between the clubs on the season. 

Rocky Mountain split last week's set with Billings, closing out with right-handed starter Carlos Lomeli's outstanding effort in an 8-2 win on June 9. Lomeli allowed just one run on two hits through six innings in the series finale. 

Oakland, meanwhile, closed out its second consecutive series win with an 11-3 flourish against Yolo. Trevor Halsema's 3-for-4 day at the plate Brad Burckel going 2-for-4 with a home run helped power the B's to the victory. 

Oakland claimed the preceding series at Rocky Mountain, plating at least 10 runs in each of its five wins. The Ballers will try to recreate that offensive energy in the rematch at Raimondi.

Steven Rivas, RF, Rocky Mountain Vibes 

Chances are if Steven Rivas is getting on base, he's doing so in bulk. 

The Rocky Mountain outfielder has delivered multiple knocks in all 10 games in which he's made hits. He went 4-for-6 with a home run en route to his second four-RBI game in 2024 in the Vibes' 14-13 win over Billings on June 4. The outpouring came amid a three-game home-run streak for Rivas, who closed out the previous Rocky Mountain series against Oakland with games of 3-for-6 with a round-tripper, and 3-for-5 with two home runs.

Dondrei Hubbard, OF, Oakland Ballers

Although Dondrei Hubbard's 11-game hit streak ended on June 8, the Ballers outfielder rebounded nicely with a 3-for-5 showing in the series finale against Yolo on June 9. It was also his second performance with two doubles this season, following up on a 3-for-5 effort with a pair of doubles and three RBI against the Vibes on May 28. 

Hubbard had hits in every game the last time the Ballers faced the Vibes, and in June 2 kicked off a stretch in which he homered in 4-of-5 games — including twice against the High Wheelers on June 7. 

Hubbard's six home runs on the season pace a group of six Ballers with at least three homers in 2024.
