The impending arrival of the summer months means baseball season is in full swing, and the teams of the Atlantic, Frontier and Pioneer Leagues are settling into their 2024 campaign.

Summertime means children are out of school and families taking in activities like a baseball game or trip to the carnival to fill those carefree days. The Tri-City ValleyCats give fans the opportunity to enjoy both a ballgame and the carnival — and they're doing so for a good cause. 

Tri-City ValleyCats 

The May 31 Frontier League matchup between the Tri-City ValleyCats and New England Knockouts is Tri-City's first Youth Baseball Night of 2024. The ValleyCats are wearing special Carnival Night-themed uniforms on a night that the club is also raising money for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.

How To Get Them

Although the team's Carnival Night jerseys are not yet available through the ValleyCats' online store, the organization regularly auctions off game-worn jerseys. In the team, the team shop sells a variety of past promotional and alternate threads. 

York Revolution 

For two series in the 2024 season, the Atlantic League's York Revolution bring back their celebration of the community's prominent Latin culture with their branding as Ritmo de York.

The club's official website describes its annual celebration thusly: 

"Rhythm is one of the most significant aspects of Latin music and culture. Similarly, Latin culture has a strong presence in the York Community. “Ritmo de York” = Rhythm of York. Whether it’s Dominican, Puerto Rican, Mexican, or part of another Latin community, the percussion-heavy music and unique rhythms are a vital part of celebrations and family gatherings."

The percussion-themed logo and bright color scheme make for an awesome look.

Quebec Capitales 

The 2024 Frontier League All-Star Game is headed to Quebec City. Honorees for the July showcase will wear slick uniforms in the Capitales' navy blue and gold color scheme. 

In the meantime, the Capitales debuted new uniforms over May's final weekend with a similar style. The duds look even better in action than in concept.

The Quebec Capitales' alternate jerseys are now available on the official team store. 

Boise Hawks 

Over Memorial Day Weekend, the Pioneer League's Boise Hawks transformed into Papas Fritas. 

Doubling as a shoutout to Idaho's potato farming industry, alternate logo, branding and uniforms — sky blue with red and yellow trim — came with a large side of victory. Papas Fritas rolled past the Grand Junction Jackalopes, 11-3.

The Hawks Nest Team Store does not yet have the Papas Fritas jersey, but is selling decals with the alternate branding.
