North Carolina State baseball, currently ranked just outside the Top 25 Coaches Poll, will travel two hours south to take on in-state foe UNC Wilmington in a mid-week matchup.

The Wolfpack, 18-11, have had a strong season thus far, but have faltered lately, losing their last four games, including a full series defeat to Louisville and a single-game loss to No. 11 East Carolina. Prior to that, NC State had series wins against No. 7 Duke, Boston College and Notre Dame, and defeated ranked opponents like No. 20 Coastal Carolina. 

It won't get any easier as NC State has upcoming series against No. 2 Clemson, No. 12 North Carolina and another mid-week matchup against strong CAA title contender Campbell. 

UNCW baseball, 19-13, is also working their way out of a series loss against Charleston, losing two of three, although the Seahawks did win the final game of the series. 

UNC Wilmington is currently tied with Northeastern atop the CAA standings. Both teams are 7-2 in conference play. 

NC State will play UNCW on Apr. 9 at 6:00pm EST
