The first week of the College Baseball Showdown is over, but the baseball action is far from finished at Globe Life Field. 

Not by a longshot. 

The second weekend, also known as the Kubota College Baseball Series, features three teams that were ranked in preseason polls, and two of those teams are unanimous top-10 teams this week. Arkansas is ranked as high as No. 2 in one poll, and Oregon State, which had a No. 3 ranking in one of polls.

That game is the nightcap of Day 1, which also features Oklahoma State (ranked in the preseason polls) and Michigan opening the event. 

Unlike the Shriners Children’s College Showdown that kicked off the College Baseball Showdown at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas, the next two weekends feature four teams playing six games a weekend. The Big Ten, Pac-12, SEC and Big 12 will all be represented. 

Despite the slimmer field, the second weekend features the most preseason ranked teams in its field. 

Arkansas, which played in the 2023 College Baseball Showdown, returns as one of the favorites to win the national championship. Oregon State, meanwhile, has the No. 3 prospect MLB Draft prospect in Travis Bazzana, who hit two home runs in Week 1. Michigan is picked to finish in the top-six of the Big Ten as is Oklahoma State in the Big 12. The Cowboys are also returning to Arlington.
