Nebraska Baseball starter Brett Sears  has racked up seven strikeouts in three innings as the opening game of the College Baseball Showdown on Feb. 16 is off to quite the pitcher's duel. 

Baylor pitcher Mason Marriott has kept pace with Sears with six strikeouts of his own. 

Through three innings, Sears hadn’t allowed a hit and already set a career-high in strikeouts in a game. 

The game is the first of three on the first day of the College Baseball Showdown. 

There is no score through five innings.

How To Stream The 2024 College Baseball Showdown?

The first weekend of competition at the Shriners Children's College Showdown is Feb. 16-18 at Globe Life Field. It is streaming on FloBaseball and the FloSports app.
