Tennessee Baseball begins the season with lofty expectations as the nation’s No. 8-ranked team, and armed with an All-American at third base in Billy Amick and a star pitcher in Drew Beam.
Their season will begin with a top-25 showdown at the home of the reigning World Series Champions.
The Vols face No. 22 Texas Tech in the night cap of the College Baseball Showdown on Feb. 16.

It’s the only matchup between ranked teams in a field that features teams from the SEC, Big 12, Pac-12 and Big Ten in the three-weekend event at Globe Life Field.
The Vols are joined by No. 4 Arkansas, No. 6 TCU, No. 7 Oregon State and No. 10 Texas A&M as top-10-ranked teams playing at the Baseball Showdown from Feb. 16 to March 3.
Tennessee will play Oklahoma on Feb. 17 and Baylor on Feb. 18 during college baseball’s opening weekend.

The College Baseball Showdown is Feb. 16-18, Feb. 23-25 and March 1-3 at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas.

The first weekend of competition at the Shriners Children's College Showdown is Feb. 16-18 at Globe Life Field. It is streaming on FloBaseball and the FloSports app.
