Who Are The Best Hitters In College Baseball 2024? Here's A List
From JJ Wetherholt of West Virginia Baseball to Mike Sirota of Northeastern, here are the best hitters in NCAA Baseball in 2024.
The top prospects in college baseball lists across the industry say the three best 2024 MLB Draft prospects are hitters, and that includes a composite ranking of Baseball America and MLB Pipeline’s rankings.
Big 12 Preseason Player of the Year JJ Wetherholt is considered the top player who is draft eligible this year and is also on the Golden Spikes watch list. But trailing not far behind him is Wake Forest slugger Nick Kurtz. The mammoth of a man at first base (6-foot-6) is one of the top sluggers in the game.
Travis Bazzana of Oregon State, which opens the season of the Sanderson Ford Baseball Classic on Feb.16, is the consensus No.3 prospect.

After that, the prospect lists are far from in agreement and even one player, Jac Caglianone, might even be the top player in the country after leading college baseball in home runs in 2023 with 33 home runs.

Who Goes First In the MLB 2024 Draft?
While most prospect lists have JJ Wetherholt as the No.1 prospect, mock drafts are split on whether the Cleveland Guardians will take Nick Kurtz or Wetherholt No.1.
Whoever doesn't go No.1 among the two could land in Cincinnati. Travis Bazzana is the consensus No. 3 pick by most mock drafts. After that, the debut ranges from Jac Caglianone to Charlie Condon.
