Baseball America 2024 Preseason Rankings Has Wake Forest Baseball At No. 1
Baseball America 2024 Preseason Rankings Has Wake Forest Baseball At No. 1
Wake Forest Baseball, after making the Men's College World Series national semifinals in 2023, was ranked No.1 by Baseball America.
The Wake Forest Baseball team hasn't won a national championship since 1955, but if preseason polls are right, that will change in 2024.
After almost 70 years without a title, and coming off a Men's College World Series national semifinal appearance in 2023, the Demon Deacons enter 2024 as the No.1 team in the country, according to Baseball America's top-25 poll.
This comes a few weeks after D1 Baseball also named Wake Forest No. 1.
Despite losing No. 7 pick Rhett Lowder in the 2023 MLB Draft, the Deacons return arguably the best prospect in college baseball in Nick Kurtz, plus two of the top pitchers in college baseball in Josh Hartle and Chase Burns.
