Independent Baseball Transaction Roundup July 17th-21st
One of the top base-stealers of the 2023 NCAA season signed to the Pioneer League, and a former Rays pitcher was traded in the Atlantic League.
Former Tampa Bay Rays pitcher Cristofer Ogando was traded in one of the highlight moves of the week in independent baseball league transactions.

The Charleston Dirty Birds traded the right-hander Ogando to Atlantic League counterparts the Staten Island Ferry Hawks.
Ogando pitched 9 2/3 innings for Charleston, posting a 3.72 ERA with 13 strikeouts.
Elsewhere, the Pioneer League's Great Falls Voyagers signed Jaylen Armstrong, a rookie outfielder coming off an outstanding season at Southern University.
Armstrong hit .330 for the Jaguars, and his 38 stolen bases ranked fifth among all Division I players.
