A new-look Tigers roster boasting a variety of transfer talent squares off against an Oklahoma State bunch with a blend of returning leaders and intriguing newcomers. TCU Vs. Vanderbilt, 4 p.m.
Making the short trip to Arlington from Fort Worth is TCU, D1Baseball.com's No. 15-ranked team and a likely contender for the Big 12 Conference championship in 2023.
The Horned Frogs boast a strong pitching staff, led by MLB prospect Cam Brown, and a multifaceted crew of position players like Elijah Nunez.
TCU's College World Series chops will be measured early against one of the most successful programs of recent years, Vanderbilt. The Commodores' pursuit of another trip to Omaha begins in Arlington, with All-American Enrique Bradfield Jr. leading the way.

Another day, another top 10 showdown with two of the preseason favorites to contend for a spot in the CWS squaring off to open Day 2.
Vanderbilt heads into 2023 on something of a redemption tour after a disappointing finish to 2022, and the Commodores can find fewer opponents as worthy as Oklahoma State.

A former Big 12 Conference series, Missouri and Texas meet in 2023 ahead of becoming SEC counterparts.
The Longhorns are headed into their penultimate campaign with their current conference before making the same move Missouri made in 2012.
The Tigers have yet to qualify for the NCAA Tournament since leaving the Big 12, but starting the season with a win over a regular contender like Texas would provide a solid building block toward the Tigers returning to the postseason.
TCU Vs. Arkansas, 8 p.m.
Counterparts of the old Southwest Conference met in the 2019 NCAA Tournament, and again in the 2021 season when Arkansas extended its winning streak in the series to seven games.

Winners of four combined College World Series since the beginning of the 21st Century meet to open the College Baseball Showdown's third and final day. Arkansas Vs. Oklahoma State, 3:30 p.m.

Missouri Vs. TCU, 7:30 p.m.
The Showdown's finale pits TCU against Missouri in just the fifth contest all-time between the programs, and only the second matchup since 1967.
TCU won an extra innings affair against the Tigers in 2010, back when Missouri was still a member of the Big 12 and the Horned Frogs played in the Mountain West. How times have changed.
